My Top 5 Halloween Films

Hello lovelies!

I know it’s been a while since I posted, I’ve been kinda busy this week but I’m now ready to get writing again because I’ve missed it so much!

So Halloween is coming up and I know that some people will be having a more chilled Halloween night. For those of you who like to cosy up, get some Ben & Jerry’s and watch some creepy films, this is the post for you. I love Halloween Films but I don’t like ones that are just blood and jump scares. I like films that are scary but also have a really cool story with great characters. When I’ve watch jumpy films I spend most of the time hiding behind a cushion and not really watching it! So here we go! (Also, when I got these films together I realised that 3 of them have Johnny Depp in which was an accident, but he is a great actor ha ha!)

Sleepy Hollow –

This is such a great film! I remember first seeing this on TV and I eventually bought it because it was so good. It’s directed by Tim Burton who does THEbest horror films. Johnny Depp plays a police constable who goes to a village called Sleepy Hollow to investigate murders by the headless horseman.

Scooby Doo The Movie –

Ohh my gosh this is such a classic! I’m pretty sure this is one of the first films I watched at the cinema when I was younger. It has some great actors in it including Rowan Atkinson who is amazing! It’s actually quite a deep story and I feel like children and adults can enjoy this.

Secret Window –

This one is probably the scariest one. The story is crazy and really makes you think. It’s about an author called Mort who catches his wife having an affair. He then gets depressed and gets confronted by a man who acuses him of plagiarising his story.

Dark Shadows –

This one is more a horror comedy. It’s another one directed by Tim Burton and it’s about a character called Barnabas who is rejects a woman so she turns to black magic and turns him into a vampire and buries him in a coffin. Years later he wakes up in the modern world and it’s so funny watching him try and understand it!

The Mask –

Awww I actually have quite a big attachment to this film. I remember watching this year’s and years ago! I grew up with Jim Carrey films and he’s honestly one of the best actors. It’s about Stanley Ipkiss who is quite a regular guy but finds an enchanted mask that changes him into a cool, crazy character. This also has the sweetest love story!

I really hope you enjoyed this post! I’m so happy to be writing again. Let me know in the comments what your fave Halloween Films are.

Vampire Halloween Look

Hello lovelies!

I’m so excited about this post! If you’ve been following my blog you’ll see that I’ve been doing some Halloween makeup posts. I wanted to do ones that we’re pretty simple, affordable and that could be adapted for any look. Today I’m going to tell you about my vampire look that I came up with. I absolutely love this makeup so much and you can easily add some more details like fangs and fake blood if that’s the kind of look you want.

Step 1 – I did my Everyday makeup routine just to even out my skin and cover any blemishes. I didn’t actually cover my undergoes because I wanted there to be a slight shadow there just to match the vampire character.

Step 2 – I applied a thin layer of white face paint, avoiding my undergoes just to make my skin a bit more pale.

Step 3 – I used a translucent powder to just set it all in place.

Step 4 – Do for the eyes I started by applying a matte black eyeshadow all over and then used a fluffy brush to blend that out.

Step 5 – I took a dark red lipstick and swept that over both eyelids and patted that in place with my finger.

Step 6 – I used the same matte black and put that under my eyes, blending that out.

Step 7 – I applied a lot of mascara on my top lashes.

Step 8 – For my lips I wanted a purple red look so I first put a matte dark lip all over. I then put a dark red lipstick on top of that and it creates the perfect colour.

This is such a quick and simple make up look and I hope it gave you some inspiration.
Key products used:

Rimmel lipstick in 810 – “One Of A Kind”

Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip in 675 – “Infatuation”

White face paint

Thank you so much to everyone that takes time out to read my posts, it means so much.

Golden Goddess Halloween Look

Hello lovelies!

So today I have another Halloween Look for you! This one is a Golden Goddess makeup look. I absolutely love this makeup, it’s so glittery and glowy. I think this is great if you’re not into scary makeup looks with blood or if you just want something quick and simple.

This is soo easy to do!

Step 1 – I did my regular everyday makeup just to give an even base.

Step 2 – I took a dark gold eyeshadow and just used my finger to sweep it all over my lip and went quite high above my lid. I then took a fluffy brush and blended it in gently.

Step 2 – I took the same gold and put it on my cheekbones to emphasise then.

Step 3 – I got a slanted brush and put some black eyeshadow underneath. I then got a fluffy brush and blended that out to make it look smokey.

Step 4 – I put on some mascara and put black eyeliner on my waterline.

Step 5 – I applied the most gorgeous gold lipstick! I wanted it to be very intense so I applied the same gold eyeshadow I put on my eyes on top of the lipstick.

Key products used:

MUA Eyeshadow in “Poptastic”, shade “Gold Mine”

L’Oréal Paris lipstick in Gold Obsession

I really hope you enjoyed this post! If you try this look please tag me on Instagram (@dudleytabitha) I’d love to see them!

Nocturnal Dreams Halloween Look

Hello lovelies!

Ahhh I’m so excited about this post! I absolutely love Halloween! I think it’s one of the coolest times of the year. I love how creative everyone gets with their makeup and you get to turn yourself into someone else for a night. I knew that I wanted to do a Halloween makeup post but I have to admit, I’m not the best when it comes to Halloween makeup. I do my regular makeup look without thinking but when it comes to Halloween you have to really get creative and think outside the box.

I wanted to something quite different that I haven’t seen before. I actually got inspiration for this look from some false nails I bought. I know this may sound strange but they were a gorgeous deep blue and it really inspired me to do something dark and magical.

Here’s how to create this look:

Step 1 – I started by doing my very plain regular makeup just to cover up any blemishes or redness. I wanted this look to stay mostly human looking which I think makes it a bit more scary. Because I have naturally fair skin I didn’t need to use white face paint or anything which I guess is lucky!

Step 2 – I then applied a light blue eyeshadow all over my lids and also put a darker blue quite high up on my outer lid. I didn’t do a very complicated eye look because I think for Halloween makeup you don’t want to be spending hours blending 10 different shades.

Step 3 – I then took a shimmery, dark blue eyeshadow stick and went under my eye quite thickly and blended the line out to make it softer. I also added a touch of black shadow under my eyes to intensify it.

Step 4 – I took all the colours I used on my lids and patted all the shades all over my cheekbones to carve them out. I wanted it to look like a dark, cloudy sky with all blues and blacks merged together. This is so simple and you just keep adding until you’re happy.

Step 5 – I then added some little silver face gems to the side of my face and a couple in the inner corners of my eyes to just give it a more magical look.

Step 6 – To finish my eyes off I added some mascara and ten applied some long false lashes which I think really added to the overall look.

Step 7 – for lips I found this amazing metallic, dark blue liquid lip and put this all over. I also put a little bit of light blue shadow on the centre of my lips to give it a bit of definition.

Here’s a list of the key products I used (this doesn’t include the plain base as I’ve already done a post about this)

Mua Poptastic eyeshadow palette

Collection blue eyeshadow stick

Essence Metal Shock lip paint in 01 Belladonna

Eyelure Pre-glued lashes

I really hope you enjoyed this post and it hopefully gave you some inspiration for your Halloween makeup! Thank you so much to anyone who takes time out to read my posts, it means so much!

Bar Earrings

Hello lovelies!

So in today’s post I’m going to show you my current favourite earring obsession which is bar earrings. I first saw these a few months ago and instantly loved them. They have an expensive, classy feel which I don’t see in a lot of stud earrings. So I’m going to run you through a few of my favourites.

I saw these designs in H&M and they’re so cool! It’s a pack of 4 and there’s two designs. One is a large long bar that’s half Matte black and I have these in rose gold and silver. I absolutely love the mix of shimmer and matte, it’s such a cool design. I also have the smaller bar that is plain. I have these in rose gold and silver too. I think they look so delicate and sophisticated, and can definitely be worn everyday and also in the evening if you’re dressing more formal.

I really hope you enjoyed this post and let me know in the comments if you have any of these earrings and of you love them as much as me!

Thank you so much to everyone that takes time out to read my posts, it means so much. Hit the little follow button if you’d like to see more from me and I’ll see you in my next post.

3 Amazing Motivational Videos

Hello lovelies!

So today I wanted to write a post that I think a lot of you will love! I think for bloggers in particular, it can be hard to stay motivated sometimes. For me, I go through stages of feeling a bit low and I just need something to pick me up and encourage me to keep going. I’m sure all of you have heard of Alfie Deyes (Pointlessblog). He’s a Youtuber that daily vlogs and often includes little talks in his videos where he gives advice to his viewers. I enjoy watching him because he’s been making videos for years and he’s built an incredible career by continually doing what he loves. He’s a very down to earth guy who speaks from experience. I’ve been watching his videos for a long time and I’ve chosen three videos that are particular favourites of mine because they include little advice segments from him. If you take a few minutes out and watch these they will instantly make you feel better.

No 1 – “Let’s Have A Talk” – PointlessBlogVlogs, YouTube:

This is one of Alfie’s daily vlogs from last year and it includes a section where he’s walking along Brighton beach and giving some great advice. Here’s some of my favourite quotes from this video:

“We need to lift our heads up more and enjoy what’s around us.”

“Don’t let them and their judgement stop you from doing what you wanna do, or change you from being you”

No 2 – “I Needed To Say This” – PointlessBlogVlogs, YouTube:

I love this one. It’s a regular daily vlog but it cuts to Alfie sat on his sofa and he launches into an amazing talk about picking yourself back up. Here’s some quotes from that video:

“When you fall. You get back up. You remember why you started”

“What’s the point in accepting failure?”

No 3 – “How To Stay Motivated” – PointlessBlogVlogs, YouTube:

This one is a proper sit down video where he talks through how to do achieve what you love and how to do something that you need to do that you don’t enjoy. Here’s some quotes from that video:

“If you’ve already found something that you love, then do it, all the time you possibly can”

“There’s nothing better than achieving what you love”

I really hope you enjoyed this post and it hopefully gave you a boost of motivation! I watch these very often and I love them so much. Leave me a comment if you’ve watched these videos and if they’ve helped you. Thank you so much to everyone who reads my posts, it means so much!

Autumn Jumper Love

Hello lovelies!

So today’s post is another autumny one. As it’s getting chillier we’re all going to be reaching for jumpers. I thought in this post I would run you through my current favourite 3 autumn jumpers that I have been living in! All of these jumpers were from H&M for only £8. They’re such great jumpers and they’re soo soft! I also like that they’re slightly cropped which makes the design different.

Jumper 1

This is the most autumny colour ever! It’s a lovely orangey – red that reminds me of when you see leaves on the path as your walking along. I love to wear this tucked into my bright blue mom jeans with a chunky belt.

Jumper 2

I feel like this is one that you could wear all year round but it does have a touch of Autumn. This is a great one because it goes with everything! I also like the contrast of the black, white and great stitching as it makes the design more interesting.

Jumper 3

I wasn’t sure about this one at first. I didn’t know if this shade of green would suit me but I decided to go for it! I actually wear this a lot and I feel like this code be a lovely jumper to wear around Christmas too.

If you’re looking for some cosy, affordable jumpers then definitely check these out!

I really hope you enjoyed this post. Thank you so much to everyone that takes time out to read my posts, it means so much.

Music Questions Tag

Hello lovelies!

So I thought today I would do my own tag post! I’ve seen so many tags and I just thought I’d put together one about music. I listen to music evryday, it often helps me stay calm, happy and even gets me though some bad days . So i put together some questions that i thought would be fun to answer. This is a tag that everyone can do and I would love it if you could answer these questions in a post and tag me! I’d love to read them.

Righty! Let’s get into the questions:

1. Go to dance song?

Ohhh that’s hard but I’m gonna go with “Work” by Rihanna. If I hear this anywhere I can’t stop having a little dance. It is the catchiest song I’ve ever heard!

2. Go to relax song?

I would have to go with “I Feel It Coming” by The Weekend. He has the most beautiful, soothing voice that will send you to sleep.

3. Sing along song?

“Despacito” by Luis Forsi Feat. Daddy Yankee. Even though I have no idea what they’re saying you cannot help but sing to this! I love it!

4. First ever singer/band you listened to?

Steps was the first bands I listened to and I still love them to this day. I’ve done a whole post about them but oh my gosh they’re amazing.

5. Last song you listened to?

Last song I listened to was “Out Loud” by a Youtuber called The Gabbie Show. I’m obsessed with this! Such a gorgeous, powerful song.

6. Fave song from a musical?

I’m going to say “Your Song” from Moulin Route.  I love love love this film so much and that scene is where they first fall in love with each other.

7. A song you discovered through a film?

“Immortals” by Fall Out Boy. This is from the film Big Hero 6 which is so cool! I remember hearing this in an action scene and I loved it and I’m not a Fall Out Boy fan really!

8. Your go to artist?

An artist this I tend to stick to a lot is actually Britney Spears at the moment. I’ve been listening to her old school songs a lot. “Overprotected” is my current fave!

9. Least favourite artist?

Least fave is actually Stormzy. I know that he’s really popular but I don’t really like his voice that much. (I’m sorry any Stormzy fans!)

10. Song obsession?

“One For Sorrow” by Steps. This song has been part of me since I was young and I still love it even when I’ve listened to it 10 times over.

11. Any song that you’ve grown to like, Why?

I never used to like “Power” by Little Mix but I saw them live at a festival recently and now I just find this song so strong and amazing.

12. Getting ready song?

Ohh I’m going to say “Irreplaceable” by Beyonce. Love her classics!

13. Favourite music genre?

14. Fave music song cover?

Adele’s “All I Ask” – Gabriella Lindley who is a Youtuber. She has a gorgeous voice and I’d never heard Adele’s version before.

15. First artist you saw live?

The Feeling were the first artists I ever saw live. I saw them in Manchester when i was 16. A lot of you probably haven’t heard of them but they make the most positive, catchy songs that have really helped me through some hard times.

Well there you go! I really hope you enjoyed this post and it would be amazing if you answered these questions in a blog post and tag me. I would love to read your answers!

Autumn Questions Tag

Hello lovelies!

So today’s post is going to be a little different because i am doing my very first tag which i’m very excited about. I’ve never done one before but i noticed that Hollie (Beautyandthebookshelves) did this on her blog and i thought it was such a fun idea! It’d be great if more bloggers could do this so we can compare answers and talk all things Autumn! If you fancy doing this too then that’d be so great! Let’s get into the questions!

The Questions:

1.) Flannels or Jumpers?

Jumpers definitely! I’m always cold and i have a HUGE collection of so many different jumpers. My favourite style of jumper is the sweat style. I have tons of these in all bright colours. and i find those so easy to just throw on!

2.) Fairylights or Candles?

I think candles actually, they give any room a calming, cosy vibe. There’s also so many different kinds and colours! I think Fresh Linen is my favourite smell for sure.

3.) What’s you’re favourite Halloween Movie?

Ohhh i actually have quite a few but i would have to go with Edward Scissorhands. Johnny Depp is such a great actor and that story is so magical.

4.)  Are you a pumpkin spiced junkie?

Hmmm i’ve never actually tried anything pumpkin spice, i’m not too sure about it. I love the Caramelised Pecan Latte from Starbucks at the moment, it’s amazing!

5.) Hot Chocolate or Tea?

Nooo don’t make me choose! I think i would have to go with tea because i LOVE it but i do really love a hot chocolate. I do wish that Costa would bring back their mint hot chocolate as that was the best.

6.) Rain or Fog?

I’m not too big on either but i would have to go with fog because there is something quite cool about it.

7.) Do you decorate your home for autumn?

I think when i eventually get my own place i will for sure! Although i do want to get some autumny bedding at the moment so i’m on the lookout.

8.) Favourite Vampire?

I think Klaus from The Vampire Diaries. He’s such a cool character and him and Caroline are so cute!

9.) Do you have any traditions for autumn?

I like to bake something round autumn time! Last year i did a green and orange marble cake so we’ll see what i come up with this year.

10.) What’s your favourite fall colour?

I think a burnt orange colour. I have a jumper in this colour and it just goes with everything! It looks especially good with grey as that’s a nice contrast.

11.) Do you like horror movies?

Not really, i’m not very good with jumpy horror films. I don’t mind ones that have a great story and aren’t just gory.

12.) What’s your favourite autumn scented candle?

I really like orange flavoured scents.

13.) Halloween or Thankgiving?

Halloween since we don’t have Thanksgiving in the UK.

14.) What’s you’re favourite thing about autumn?

I love the fashion at autumn. It’s really fun to wear cosy jumpers and layer them on top of your outfits.

15.) Favourite -ber month?

16.) Do you prefer autumn or winter? Why?

Autumn for sure! I think everything looks so pretty. I love seeing all the leaves falling off the trees, all the seasonal drinks and autumn fashion. It’s also not too cold!

17.) What’s your Halloween costume dream?

I would absolutely love to dress up like Hilary Duff in “A Cinderella Story”, her dress was gorgeous.

18.) Favourite witch?

Bonnie from The Vampier Diaries.

19.) Where would you like to spend your Halloween?

If i wasn’t so scared (ha ha) i would love to go to a Halloween horror experience!

20.) Scarf or hat?

Scarf i think because there are so many gorgeous ones out there. My go to at the moment is my Topshop blue and yellow checked one.

21.) Favourite tree?

I quite like oak trees, they’re so autumny!

22.) What’s your dream place to visit during autumn?

I’d like to see what Brighton is like in Autumn. It’s my favourite place to be but i’ve only been in summer.

23.)  Vampires or Zombie?

Vampires because i used to be obsessed with The Vampire Diaries. They’re much more interesting and i feel like you can make a great film or tv series based on vampires.

24.) Which songs do you listen to in autumn?

I don’t really have any songs i listen to just in autumn.

25.) Bats or Spiders?

26.) A walk in the woods or a walk in the mall?

A walk in the mall or shopping centre as I call it ha ha. When it’s autumn I find the shops always go to town with their window displays.

27.) What’s your favourite autumn food?

When it’s getting colder I love warming, cosy food so probably a pasta bake!

28.) Name a book that makes you think of autumn

“Monday To Friday Man” because the front cover has the two main characters all wrapped up in an autumny park, walking Their dogs.

29.) Halloween party or Halloween movie marathon?

Ohh that’s hard! Can I say both? Ha ha

30.) Favourite item of clothing for Autumn?

My black faux fur coat for sure! I bought it last year and I’m still obsessed!

Jazzing Up My Demin Jackets

Hello lovelies!

We all have an item of clothing or a handbag where we think “This needs something more”.  When I was in school, at the start of every new year I would buy a new school bag and spend weeks decorating it with badges, sewing things into it, even drawing on it, just to make it unique. My favourite kind of bags to do this with was tote bags because they are just a blank canvas where you can let your imagination go anywhere! Now that I’m older I do this more through my clothes.

I adore demin jackets because they are something that go way back and have so much history and they’re still in shops, people are wearing them and loving it! Recently, oversized demin jackets are back and I waited a while before I bought some because I wasn’t sure if it would suit me. I remember seeing everyone wearing them on Instagram and I was like okay, I’m gonna try it too. So I picked up a blue demin and a black demin both from Primark.  I know that demin jackets can be quite expensive but Primark honestly have lovely ones for a third of the price that are such great quality! I’ve loved wearing these but recently I was shopping in H&M and saw these pins.

When I saw these I straight away thought how cool they would look on my demin jackets! I bought two packs thinking I would mix them and pick and choose different ones to put on but I actually ended up using a pack on each jacket. The gold and red went so well with my blue demin one and the more silver pins looked so good with the black! I was a little stuck about where to put them at first but I just kept moving them until I was happy.

With the black one, there were a few more pins so I decided to put a couple on the collar to make it less crowded and I’m so happy with them! It’s crazy how something so simple can recreate quite plain looking clothes. I do want to add to these if I see any more, like if I go anywhere and I want to add to my collection!

I really hope you enjoyed this post and let me know in the comments if you like to get creative with your clothes!

Thank you so much to everyone that takes time out to read my posts, it means so so much to me!
